This app displays still images from the SDO. It also displays still images and animated image loops from the SOHO.
Abbreviations:
- HMI = Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager
- AIA = Atmospheric Imaging Assembly
- EIT = Extreme Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope
The animations will auto-play after a loading period, unless you are using Low Power Mode (indicated by a yellow battery icon). In Low Power Mode, you will need to manually play the video by tapping on it.
The Lasco C3 Transit Info page identifies planets, asteroids, comets, and other celestial objects that will transit its field-of-view. Note: This page requires you to accept a US Navy .mil SSL certificate.
